Christopher Edward Hyndman (March 3, – August 3, ) was a Canadian interior decorator and television personality, who was co-host of the afternoon talk show Steven and Chris on CBC Television until his death in August
In 2004, Sabados and Hyndman debuted a new show with a similar format, titled Design Rivals, [5] and a makeover show called So Chic with Steven and Chris in 2005. [ 6 ] According to Beker, Hyndman did not originally have aspirations of becoming a television personality himself, but was active in supporting Sabados' goals while being personally.
Hyndman, who was born in Ottawa, Ontario and raised in Newfoundland, first met Sabados in 1992. In 2007 Steven and Chris developed their own lifestyle product brand, successfully launching collections of furniture, accessories, rugs, lighting and textiles under the brand S&C. Though sadly we lost Christopher Hyndman in 2015 his design legacy lives on through the artistry and leadership of Steven Sabados and his design team.
He worked as a make-up artist and found success — both professional and personal — in Toronto.
