George Michael, born Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou on J, in East Finchley, London, was a renowned British singer, songwriter, and philanthropist. He first made his mark in the music world as part of the pop duo Wham!, along with his high school friend Andrew Ridgeley. Many of the stories in my book, Monstress, came to me this way, via serendipitous discovery of weird, almost unbelievable stories from real life. Lysley A. It's the story of a guy who has to bury his estranged brother, Eric, who had been banished from their Filipino Catholic family by their mother. The Son of Good Fortune is being developed into a comedy series by Riz Ahmed and Lulu Wang for Amazon, and Tenorio is currently a 2021-22 Radcliffe Fellow at Harvard University, where he is working on a novel.
